it is so much fun seeing how alert jonah has become. he really enjoys looking at the octopus and everything else on his playmat!!

big boy

so being a proud mom i wanted to show off how cute jonah looked today in his big boy outfit!!! oh and check out his little puma shoes...which were a great investment if i do say so myself. no, but seriously they are great because they stay on and he doesn't kick them off....info for all my preggo friends :)

2 months old!!!

i cannot even believe that my little guys is already 2 months old, as of today!!! time flies by way to quickly. so, jonah now weighs 9lbs 8.5oz.....he is huge. okay, huge being that he was 5lbs 12oz when he was born. oh, and he has grown to be 21.5 inches long. he started at 19 inches. i totally thought that he was going to be just over 8lbs, but myk was convinced that he was closer to 9. i thought that he was silly for thinking that, but he is totally bigger than even that. i do have to say that it was a sad day for us today.....shots.....these little guys do not dig 'em. the poor guy has been fussy all day. i do think that his little charlie brown bandaids are pretty cute though. hopefully, tommorrow is a better day for us and he feels a bunch better. hope you all enjoyed hearing our exciting news :)

new floor

this weekend myk and eric decided to put wood floors in our living room and office....yay. i love how the house looks with the wood floors and am soooo glad to be rid of our carpet. it is amazing how much having the wood floors changes your house...luv it!

my plan

i have been trying to figure out how i can make some money and not have to leave jonah to go to a real job.....sooo... i have decided i want to start watching a kiddo or two at my house. i dont want to start a daycare or anything like that...i am not wanting to deal with taxes or any of that stuff. i just want to do it under the table and keep it simple. i want to be able to have moms who have some errands to run or just want to get out of the house without their kids to be able to call me and have me watch their child for the morning or afternoon....it could even be just an hour or two. i just thought i would let you all know my plan....hey maybe you know someone like this. if not, well then you atleast know what i am going to try to do so that i dont have to leave my little guy and get a "real" job.

it is sooo official that i am a mama....for goodness sakes look at my equipment. this is only gear a mom would have. i admit....i love being able to say that :)

sharon, i might need a little help with the whole sling thang....being a bit more graceful putting him in and taking him out. sorry 'bout that jonah....mama loves you lots!!!

last night

okay...so i totally love my mommy duties and love my little boy.....but the nights....good grief. so i am trying to get him to skip his 2/3am feeding, but that is totally easier said than done!! last night was my first night replaceing his feeding with a pacifier. so, i am suppose to pick him up out of his crib and instead of feeding i am to have him suck on the pacifier until he falls to sleep. i know sounds pretty simple, but it was NOT. after me attempting to do this.....ohhhh only about a dozen times and 2hrs later....i gave in. needless to say i fed the little stinker...poor little guy acted like i was starving him. sleep......ya so last night i did not get much. all i have to say is wish me luck tonight. hopefully it will work out a little bit better. if it doesn't, well i will try and try again.
come on jonah.....we can do it!!!!!

big boy....no sleep

this is only the 2nd time jonah has worn a real outfit....not for long. he has just grown so much. i just cannot even believe it. sooo...wouldn't you think that such a big boy would be sleeping ALL NIGHT LONG....well think again. this little guy does not want to break the habit of eating every 3hrs....oh but i wish he would. hopefully sometime soon he will start extending his feeding, during the night. what a beautiful day that will be. until then....atleast he is a stud. hey, i am allowed to say that....i am his mama : )

looking back

looking back on this last year....my goodness so much has gone on in our lives. from myk starting his own business, to being preggo, and having a baby....oh did i mention a perfect little baby boy!?!?!!!! the Lord has truly blessed us this past year. even though there were some rough patches, the Lord's blessings have been just amazing. i could never have imagined having such a loving husband, who would do and does anything and everything for his family. myk you are such an amazing husband and father!!!! as for my little cutie, jonah, i thank the Lord for giving me such a beautiful perfect little boy. i could not have asked for a better end to my year than becoming a mother to this little guy. i guess i just had no idea how wonderful it was to be a mama...until it happened....wow it is the greatest thing ever. LORD, THANK YOU FOR THE MANY BLESSINGS YOU HAVE GIVEN US EVEN WHEN WE HAVE FALLEN SHORT!!!! i can only imagine what this year has in store.......only He knows.
